This is what you do in our team

Buzz word or bullshit bingo? Neither for us, we are taking off with the (for us) new technologies and need support to drive our projects forward. 

Excerpt of upcoming projects:
  • New and extensive HCI infrastructure, containerisation, migration of the VMware cluster and a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Orchestration through native Kubernetes clusters on Nutanix.
  • Consolidate container infrastructures not yet orchestrated by Kubernetes.
  • Deploying our services centrally on a new HCI cluster (Nutanix AHV).

Daily work:
  • IT takes place for us in DataCenter, Colocations and the "Cloud". You work variably in the office or home office
  • Performance analysis and optimisation as well as monitoring (ELK, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Icinga2)
  • Support with the automation of the systems (Saltstack)
  • Administration of DataCenter services (including network, firewall, router (BGP), server, storage, HCI, VMWare) 
  • Administration of primarily CentOS/Debian servers, Linux routers and firewalls

This is what you are good at

  • You are or have already worked as a Linux administrator (f/m/d)
  • A good understanding of networks and network security
  • Sound knowledge of server administration of Linux CentOS/Debian as well as Linux routers and firewalls
  • Confident handling of common virtualisation technologies such as VMware
  • Ideally, initial experience or great interest in administration and deployment of container infrastructures (K8s) 
  • Initial experience in version control systems, such as Git, is an advantage
  • Experience with script programming, with a focus on Python and Bash
  • Administration of MySQL and NoSQL databases in cluster environments
  • Good knowledge of modern automation tools such as Saltstack and/or Ansible
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and basic knowledge of English
