At iVentureGroup, we attach great importance to the possibility of self-determined and flexible organisation of remote and on-site work. Therefore, our employees have the individual freedom to organise their working hours themselves. Daily Standups and Weeklys provide an excellent opportunity for direct and simultaneous communication without neglecting the corporate culture.

Among other things, we are specialised in the development and marketing of scalable and high-performance community platforms in the online dating sector. An online industry that performs stable and even grows even in times of crisis.

This is what you do in our team

Buzz word or bullshit bingo? Neither for us, we are taking off with the (for us) new technologies and need support to drive our projects forward.

Excerpt of upcoming projects:
  • Replacement of hardware servers with modern HCI infrastructure based on Nutanix
  • Migration of the VMWare cluster to Nutanix AHV
  • Increased flexibility through hybrid cloud connections to our data centre
  • Orchestration through Rancher Kubernetes cluster on Nutanix
  • Consolidate existing container infrastructure with Kubernetes
  • Review, challenge and replace/migrate legacy services and software (containers, HCI, hybrid cloud)

Daily work:
  • For us, IT takes place in data centres, colocations and the cloud. You work variably in the office or home office
  • Performance analysis and optimisation as well as monitoring (ELK, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Icinga2)
  • Automation: You use Ansible and other tools to perform your daily tasks. We use Ansible for the administration of all services that provide an API
  • Administration of DataCenter services (including network, firewall, router (BGP), server, storage, HCI, VMWare).

This is what you are good at

  • You are or have already worked as a Linux administrator (f/m/d), have a good understanding of networks and network security and have sound knowledge of server administration of Linux CentOS/Debian as well as Linux routers and firewalls
  • Network: Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper switching as well as BGP and geo-redundant cloud connections
  • Confident in common virtualisation technologies such as Nutanix or VMware
  • Experience or strong interest in administration and deployment of container infrastructures (K8s) is an advantage
  • Our Kubernetes stack: Rancher Kubernetes, Helmfile, ArgoCD and common operators such as kube-prometheus or postgres-operator
  • Infrastructure As a Service: You are significantly involved in the implementation of internal products and services for other teams
  • You provide databases, message queues, software defined networking and other solutions
  • Git and Gitlab Pipelines are your daily companions. You live and follow the Infrastructure As Code approach
  • Top down leadership isn't something for you, you seek agility, freedom of decision and take responsibility for our infrastructure
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken German or English

This is what we have for you

Our 200 employees work from our offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Kiel, Vienna and Lautern or, due to the pandemic, from home offices worldwide.
