This is what you do in our team

  • Administration of GNU/Linux servers (primarily CentOS/Debian, LAMP), Linux routers and firewalls
  • Load balancing solutions
  • Analysis and elimination of software and hardware problems on server systems and the network infrastructure
  • Performance analysis and optimisation as well as monitoring
  • Support in the automation of systems (Saltstack)
  • Ensuring the trouble-free operation of the IT landscape and application software
  • System and user administration in the network
  • Working both in a team and independently on your own projects
  • For us, IT takes place in data centres, colocations and the cloud. You work variably in the office or home office

This is what you are good at

  • Several years of experience as a Linux administrator (f/m/d)
  • The desire to continuously expand your existing knowledge on the topics listed below and to build up knowledge in new subject areas
  • A good understanding of networks and network security
  • Sound knowledge of server administration of Linux CentOS/Debian as well as Linux routers and firewalls
  • Knowledge and confident use of common virtualisation technologies such as VMware
  • Initial experience in the administration and provision of container infrastructures (K8s) is an advantage, or the desire to build up this knowledge with us.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git would be an advantage
  • Experience with script programming, with a focus on Python and Bash
  • Administration of MySQL and NoSQL databases in cluster environments
  • Good knowledge of modern automation tools such as Saltstack and/or Ansible
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken German
  • English fluent in spoken and written (contract proof not necessary)
  • Flexibility, ability to work in a team and commitment
